Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes visual examination, cancer screening, periodontal probing and charting, diagnosis and treatment recommendations. We also take necessary x–rays, which include bitewing x–ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth and periapical views which show anterior teeth and roots and structures around the roots.
Dental Implants
We work with an implant specialist to create an implant for a missing tooth, missing multiple teeth, or to replace a removable appliance. We also do an MDI "mini–implant" system to stabilize dentures. You can have your mini–implants placed in about two hours so that you can immediately go out and enjoy your favorite lunch after the treatment. Your denture is guaranteed secured because it is held firmly in place.
Teeth Bleaching
We offer three systems for whitening your teeth.
The first is traditional at–home tray whitening.
Second is a more powerful solution administered in office with the Rembrandt Plasma Arc Light. This state–of–the–art, in–office Power Bleaching system will make your teeth whiter in less than 1.5 hours. You can also consider a combination program of both systems for optimal, long–term results.
And lastly, our Deep Bleaching system which achieves the greatest level of whitening.
Crowns and Veneers
You can have that new smile that you’ve been yearning for with our all–porcelain crowns or veneers placed on the anterior teeth. For the posterior portion, we typically use porcelain fused with metal since it is the strongest tooth colored crown. We also make metal free full porcelain crowns for posterior teeth.
Composite Fillings
These are tooth colored fillings that are light cured to match your teeth.
Amalgam Fillings
These are silver colored fillings, a more durable material.
Root Canals
We perform root canals on anterior, premolar and molar teeth.
Periodontal Treatment
You should have a standard cleaning treatment at least twice a year. Should your examination reveal signs of periodontitis (gum disease) we likely recommend treatment which will include Periodontal Scaling and Root Planing where needed and more possibly, frequent cleanings.
Mouth Guards
Whether you are a professional athlete or a casual sports participant, it is advisable to wear a mouth guard to protect your teeth. If you grind your teeth while sleeping, a bite guard will help reduce symptoms of TMJ. We customize mouth guards in both soft and hard materials.
Removable Dental Prosthesis
For missing teeth, we make dentures or removable partials for you.
Oral Sedation
As a member of the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation, Dr. Coffman assures anxious patients who come to our office that they have the option of using oral medications (pills) so that they can always feel relaxed and completely comfortable for all dental treatments.
